Motion Graphics





San Diego Chargers Open used for the pre-season at Channel 8 KFMB TV. Modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and post I did, using, Illustrator to separate the existing Chargers logo, Photoshop for textures, Cinema 4D was used to model, texture, light and animate. I used After Effects for post, color correction, compositing, adding lens flares, glows and music.

This is the In-House Open used by KFMB TV Channel 8 in San Diego for the Chargers Season for 2010, I modeled, textured and animated the entire piece, except for the video that is displayed on the screens the music and the Chargers logo, all other element I designed, animated and composited myself.

This is one of the first projects I had to do here at KFMB TV, San Diego, I was asked if it was possible to make the talent disappear, it was recorded with very little movement on the part of the anchors and a shot of the anchor on the right talking to an empty desk, and poof they are gone!!!.

:30 Second promo for Jack FM, using a cover flow design to display CD covers, to match with the music, the last one being the Jack FM logo.

In this PSA, I animated the E/I logo and the information that appears at the end of the spot. The E/I logo, I animated in After Effects using EPS Invigorator, the folder with the pages containing the information at the end of the spot were also all done in After Effects

An animated title I created for the 2007 fire season here in San Diego, CA., this is one example where I was given only an idea and a couple of hours to put it together, I think it came out really good given the lack of elements and time.

In this piece I am using a preset template we have for After Effects to reveal the treated footage of the city and text, this animation is used to open a segment in any of the newscasts whenever it rains in San Diego.

Animated Open for the morning kids programing at CBS 8/KFMB TV San Diego. The animation of the video clips and background were done in After Effects the title "CBS 8 Morning Kids" was done  using Cinema 4D.

Info videos for the site, www.goskoop.com, I was given screenshots of the site and was asked to animate them to make info videos from it.

I am currently working as the Senior Graphics Designer for KFMB TV, CBS 8 in San Diego, I have been with the company for the last 5 years. In this position I am in charge of designing and producing on-air graphics and animations while maintaining the overall look and feel of the station’s image. Support the Art Director on the coordination, management and execution all of the station’s graphics needs, this included the transition from Standard Definition (SD) to High Definition (HD) in 2007.
